Marriage is certainly a good thing to be pursued. But we must be careful not to make the status of marriage, or even marriage and family, an unhealthy goal or idol. Singleness is not something to be lamented, avoided, or looked down upon. God calls us to view our station in life—whether single or married—as a significant opportunity for spiritual growth and ministry. This should reshape our perspective about how we find contentment in every season of life and relationship.
